Labourforce is currently seeking an experienced Sideloader Forklift Operator for an ongoing opportunity with a well-established steel manufacturing and distribution facility located in Crestmead, QLD . This role is ideal for operators who have experience working in steel yards, timber yards, or handling long/wide loads . You will be responsible for safely moving and loading long steel materials used in building construction. Location Crestmead, QLD Shift & Pay Sunday: 5:00pm – 12:30am | $74.70 per hour Monday – Thursday: 5:00pm – 12:30am | $48.55 per hour Ongoing Monday–Thursday afternoon shifts with a Sunday shift available. Key Responsibilities Operating a sideloader forklift to move long steel materials Loading and unloading trucks with steel purlins, columns and tophats (8–20 metres long) Moving stock safely around the warehouse and yard Placing timber blocks and positioning freight for safe transport Securing loads prior to dispatch Assisting with general yard and warehouse operations Requirements Valid Forklift Licence (LF) Sideloader forklift experience highly regarded Experience handling long loads (steel, timber, building materials or similar) Previous work in a steel yard, metal yard, timber yard or construction materials environment advantageous Strong focus on safety and safe load handling Reliable with good work ethic Why Apply Competitive hourly rates with penalty pay on Sundays Ongoing work with a reputable industry leader Afternoon shift allowing flexibility during the day Opportunity to work within a specialised materials handling environment If you’re an experienced forklift operator comfortable with long or oversized materials , apply now to be considered.
